I woke up feeling like shit today. I spent most of the day just unmotivated and feeling like burying my head under a rock.

So, back when I first started doing this site I did what so many do: I signed up as an affiliate for a bunch of other sites. People click a link you post or a banner and then you get paid. The real money is in sign-ups. Oh, sign-ups. A lot of places offer 50/50 deals to affiliates. Not bad money if people sign-up after following a link on your site. This time last year this site was covered in banner ads. Covered. It brought in a little cash but not enough. No sign-ups as far as I could see. Just the occasional click through. So, I scrapped all that.

I’ve backed off the affiliate thing, because it never really amounted to much. I still post stuff from places I’m affiliated with. Their just mixed in with everything else.

Generally, I don’t check my stats on those places. Never anything to see. Today I happened to login to Dawn’s Place’s affiliate website, which I signed up for about 2 years ago. I think I’d signed in since then but I honestly can’t recall. I liked Dawn’s Place before I started this blog (redhead with glasses and big tits who does facials, it’s everything I dig all wrapped up in one woman). Apparently someone signed up for the site based on one of my links 2 years ago. Just one. I hadn’t finished some paperwork and apparently the site owed me some money. This person had renewed a handful of times.

As I said, I woke up this morning feeling shit. Money’s been very tight. My wife hasn’t been able to land a job in over a year. I can’t seem to find much in the way of paying work in my field (plenty of people looking to get free work out of me). Savings are gone. Very little is actually working right now. (Sorry to be a downer guys, but this is my situation)

Then, I found out I had a little bit of money (not much) coming my way that I wasn’t expecting. It made me feel much better.
